Apple has officially released the latest operating systems iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 for mobile, Apple Watch and TV respectively and and here’s how to upgrade to your devices. Meanwhile the latest Mac operating system, macOS Mojave, is scheduled for release on Monday, September 24.
How to install iOS 12
iOS 12, the much awaited upgrade is out for supported devices, and it supports from iPhone 5s and and iPad Air. Some of the new features of the software include enabling the devices to launch apps up to twice as fast as on the last iOS update, A Grouped notifications and better notifications management, Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Prevention feature, redesigned maps, New gestures on iPad, better password management, Photos improvements and more…
To install iOS 12 on your iPhone or iPad, the easiest way is to doing it when you’ll get a notification that iOS 12 is available. But if it does take time, you can do in manually.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and then follow the on-screen instructions. Enable your WiFi connection to download the over-the-air update. We recommend you to back up your data, and ensure your device has over 50 percent of charge or connected to a power source before beginning the process.
Apple has unveiled the tvOS 12 update too, and the biggest update is the Dolby Atmos support for the Apple TV 4K. Users can also witness new “Arials” screen savers and, depending on your TV provider or carrier, they can even see Zero Sign-on, that allows you access to your account simply by detecting the broadband network.
To update Apple TV, go to Settings > System > Software Updates and Select Update Software. Follow the instructions to download tvOS 11.2
Apple has launched the watchOS 5 as the newest software version for its Apple Watch lineup, and the biggest update is the Watch-to-Watch communication through the Walkie-Talkie feature. Other significant new features include Auto workout detection, Yoga and Hiking workouts, Siri watch face improvements, New watch face, Podcasts. Background audio from third-party apps, Siri raise-to-speak (Series 3 and 4 only) and more.
To download watchOS 5 on any of your Apple Watch Series, Go to the Watch app on the iPhone you paired with. Then go to General > Software Update. Let your watch have at least 50 percent of battery charge to enable the installation process, and you’ll also need to put your Watch on its charger to complete the update.
