Arena of Valor which is one of the most popular video games in the world with about than 200 million players and the reason for its popularity is the delivery method. Arena of Valor called Honor of Kings in China can be played on the most prevalent handheld devices across the world.
Developer Tencent is hoping to extend that market furthermore in September with the launch of Arena of Valor on the Switch, Nintendo’s portable living room console. Arena of Valor is a different game on Switch and won’t need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription when it launches on the Nintendo hybrid console, according to the publishers.
Arena of Valor players need not require to pay for Nintendo’s subscription service and the Nintendo eShop descriptions for standard online titles and free-to-play online titles have a major difference. While the former requires a paid membership, the latter which includes the aforementioned free-to-play titles won’t require it on their Nintendo eShop page.
Now the Nintendo’s position would put it alongside Sony that doesnt need require PlayStation Plus for free-to-play titles.
